More About:

Dissolving Filler

Assessment: The doctor evaluates the type of filler used, its location, and your medical history to determine suitability and choose the appropriate dissolving agent.

Targeted Injections: Precise injections of the dissolving agent, typically hyaluronidase, are made into the areas with unwanted filler.

Dissolving Action: The enzyme breaks down the filler molecules, gradually reversing its effects.

Monitoring & Aftercare: Your doctor observes you for any immediate reactions and provides personalised aftercare instructions.

Generally safe, potential side effects include:

  • Temporary swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site (common)
  • Allergic reactions (rare)
  • Skin sensitivity or itching (uncommon)
  • Incomplete filler dissolution, requiring additional treatment

How Does

Dissolving Filler

Work?

Dissolving fillers usually employ hyaluronidase, an enzyme naturally present in your body that breaks down hyaluronic acid (HA). Injected hyaluronidase targets the HA used in dermal fillers, dissolving them and returning your skin to its pre-filler state.

What Can

Dissolving Filler

Treat ?

  • Unwanted results from dermal filler injections
  • Migration of filler outside the intended area
  • Overfilled or uneven appearance
  • Bumps or nodules caused by filler
  • Dissolving HA fillers before switching to other type

What Does

Dissolving Filler

Treatment Involve ?

The procedure typically lasts 30-45 minutes, involving:

  • Consultation and assessment.
  • Cleansing and marking the treatment area.
  • Tiny injections of the dissolving agent.
  • Optional use of topical anesthetic for comfort.
  • Monitoring after the procedure.

Before & After

FAQs

Here are some frequently asked questions, cant find an answer? Get in touch and we will be happy to help!

WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF HYALURONIDASE?

The most important hyaluronidase side effect is an allergic reaction, which comes in different degrees of severity. Additional adverse effects include soreness during injection; swelling; bruises; infections; cold sores if the filler is dissolved around the mouth; dissolution of hyaluronic acid that occurs naturally; uneven appearance after treatment; and the need for multiple treatments based on the type, quantity, and location of dermal filler to be dissolved.

HOW SOON CAN I DISSOLVE MY DERMAL FILLER?

It is advised against dissolving dermal filler for cosmetic purposes until 14 days following the first procedure if you have had it done, as swelling makes it unlikely that you would have noticed the whole outcome. Hyaluronidase can be given right away following dermal filler treatment if vascular compromise develops; this should not be postponed.

TEST CAN HYALURONIDASE DISSOLVE ALL TYPES OF DERMAL FILLER?

Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, such as Juvéderm, Restylane, Perfecta, Princess, and Teosyl, can be dissolved by the enzyme hyaluronidase. Nevertheless, it is unable to dissolve other filling agents such as Radiasse, Sculptra, or Ellanse, or dermal fillers that are not hyaluronic acid.

CAN I HAVE DERMAL FILLER AGAIN AFTER HYALURONIDASE?

Yes, but you should wait 14 days following your procedure because the new dermal filler may be broken down by hyaluronidase. We can provide you with a cheap dermal re-fill treatment if you would want to do this. The majority of clients decide to take this action.
